dc.description.abstractFamily has an important role in social form, and the smallest society unit consisting of father, mother, and child. The division of inheritance is only for people who have the rights and the property. The division of inheritance from parents to people uses civil and Islamic law. It will be different for a couple or family who are destined not to have children, then the division of inheritance can be done with a bequest or will to someone else. The research objective is to determine the implementation of bequest to adopted children in obtaining inheritance from adoptive parents and to obtain legal knowledge for adopted children in giving bequest. This type of research uses normative juridical, namely by conducting an assessment of the applicable laws and regulations. The adopted child only receives a gift or will be given by his adopted parent one over third of the inheritance and the gift must be voluntary and sincere, as determined in civil law and Islamic law.
