dc.description.abstract Macroinvertebrates bentos are animals that have sensitivity to environmental changes, they can be used as a bioindicator to determine the waters quality. The purpose of this study was to inventory macroinvertebrates bentos in the Coban Talun Tourism Area, Batu- City East Java and to determine the status of the waters in the Coban Talun Tourism Area, Batu- City East Java. This research was down from October 2019 to January 2020. The Sampling was performed through purposive sampling method. Macroinvertebrates are collected from three locations (station one with the characteristics of tourism and sand mining areas, two stations for the conversion of dams and tourist activities, tourist area stations and grazing activities) using Surber net and hand net. Macroinvertebrates bentos data was used to analyze diversity index and four biotic index. Physical-chemical parameters measured include Temperature, Ph, DO and Turbidity. Physics-chemical parameters with biotic index with Pearson formula using PAST software. The result showed there were 9 benthic macroinvertebrate orders found which included Coleoptera, Diptera, Ephemeroptera, Mollusca, Odonata Plecoptera, Thricoptera, Tricadida and Rhyanchobdellida. Diversity index from the three stations has a value of 2.4 - 2.58, which indicates moderate diversity with water status low pollution. Water quality from all stations is very good to quite polluted (based on the FBI), very good to sufficient (based on HBI) and polluted to moderate (based on ASPT). Based on Temperature correlation analysis, DO has a negative correlation with ASPT with a low level of association while with FBI and HBI has a positive correlation with a low level of relationship while turbidity with with the FBI, HBI and ASPT has a positive correlation with a low level of relationship.
