dc.description.abstractThe beach is one of several ecosystems that have long been used by humans for various activities to support life. The function of the beach is increasingly diverse along with the advancement of human civilization and culture which results in the function of the beach not being in accordance with the designation to support the life of aquatic organisms and the needs of the community around the coast. This causes a decrease in the quality of the beach due to the entry of various waste discharges from various human activities, causing changes in the physical and chemical quality of the beach. One of the marine biota which is suspected to be directly affected by its existence due to decreased water quality and sediment in the coastal environment is the research. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, descriptive method with direct testing carried out in the field and in the laboratory. The results of the research that have been done are known that the condition of coastal waters is different between each station between medium polluted and light polluted. The Gastropod Diversity Index examined at the three stations showed a difference of 1-2 (moderate polluted category) and at station 2 (very mild polluted category) and station 3 valued between 2-3 (light polluted).
