dc.description.abstractKeywords: Verstek Decision, Relaas, Village Head Verstek verdict is a decision which was not attended by the Defendant in the trial. This triggers when the invocation occurs due to procedural defects, ie when the voluntary or summons is not delivered to the village head then it is conveyed to the reason that the Defendant is not in his address, the impact is that the Defendant does not know the trial schedule and in the end the Defendant was not present at the trial. But the researchers focused on the judges' consideration and legal remedies. his study aims to find out how the judge's judgment in deciding verstek and what if the defendant does not accept the decision or what legal remedies can be done by the Defendant. This research takes place in Malang IA Religious Court Class. From the results of this study, the judge's judgment determined that the Verstek Decision was a decision handed down by a judge outside the presence of the defendant.en_US
