dc.description.abstract | The use of spring steel used as the main operational material or as a raw
material for industrial production is increasing. The effect of the use of spring steel
causes the metal structure to be affected by external forces such as stress, pull and
friction which result in deformation or deformation. The process of heat treatment
with full annealing (heat treatment) on spring steel is heated at a certain
temperature maintained at a certain time and cooled slowly in a high electric
kitchen. This research will be tested by tensile steel testing SUP 9 after the
specimens have been heat treated (full annealing) with a temperature of 860 ℃ for
5 minutes. The tensile test will be carried out with 4000 kgf, 4500 kgf and 5000 kgf
load variations. The results of the study of load variations in the tensile test it can
be concluded that the average modulus of elasticity load of 4000 kgf with E =
147.70 kgf / cm2, 4500 kgf load with E = 147.70 kgf / cm2, and 5000 kgf load with
E = 48.90 kgf / cm2, this happens because the smaller the load is given, the greater
the modulus of elasticity.
