The need for halal products has now become a trend. Not only struggling in food, but &#13;
has grown in cosmetic, medicines and Islamic financial services industry. A research from the &#13;
Pew Research Centre, states that until 2050, the world's Muslim population is expected to grow &#13;
by 75 percent. This can be interpreted that the level of need for halal products is also increasing. &#13;
Along with increasing public awareness of halal products, it is also necessary to treat halal in the &#13;
logistics process. This research examines public perceptions regarding halal logistics, especially &#13;
halal product transportation, and its variables are perceived by the community to be applied in &#13;
halal logistics. The results of the study showed that more than 90% of respondents considered &#13;
important variables needed in the implementation of halal logistics: mainly in sorting goods &#13;
according to types as well as halal and non-halal, separating halal and non-halal products, setting &#13;
the position of goods in cargo, using vehicles specifically for halal products, maintenance of &#13;
cargo cleanliness, training of halal logistic officers, and health care for halal logistic officers. In &#13;
addition, the use of halal logistic stickers can also provide halal logistic warranty from producers &#13;
to consumers.

The effect of fatty acid polarity on the combustion characteristics of vegetable oils droplets, CCO and CJO vegetable oil droplets have been studied experimentally with atmospheric pressure and room temperature. The role of intermolecular forces on the combustion characteristics of vegetable oils droplets. CCO and CJO are multicomponent vegetable oils, CCO represents saturated fatty acids while CJO represents monounsaturated fatty acids. The results showed that the burning rate of vegetable oil was influencing by the polarity of the fatty acids that compose it. CCO is dominated by polar fatty acids which shows a stable flame and around a flame shape. CJO which is dominated by non-polar fatty acids the results show an increase in the rate of combustion, the presence of microexplosion and the form of an elongated flame. The large CCO polarity causes the CCO to be more reactive, fast ignition of round and stable flame forms. The small CJO polarity causes the CJO molecules to be less reactive and slow to ignite. the shape of the flame on CJO extends upwards with microexplosion while in the CCO the way of the round flash. This is because of the different fatty acid content and geometry in each vegetable oils.

Utilization of crude palm oils (CPO) as biodiesel faces difficulty due to their high level of &#13;
viscosity. Mixing crude eucalyptus oils (CEO) with CPO may reduce the viscosity due to the &#13;
presence of aromatic compounds in CEO. The single droplet analysis was performed to &#13;
determine the characteristics of mixing CPO with the CEO. The results showed that the &#13;
addition of CEO decreased the viscosity due to the presence of intermolecular attractions, &#13;
thereby leading to more active molecules in the CPO-CEO mixture. Furthermore, the aromatic &#13;
compound in the CEO helped in decreasing the CPO flash point, while the aromatic compound &#13;
in the triglyceride molecule weakens the bonds between molecules. The addition of CEO to &#13;
CPO tends to reduce the ignition delay due to the presence of cineol content in the CEO, which &#13;
weakens the van der Waals bond in CPO.

Pemanfaatan angin sebagai sumber tenaga energi alternatif telah banyak digunakan di &#13;
berbagai belahan dunia pada saat ini, namun di Indonesia hal ini belum banyak &#13;
dimanfaatkan, padahal dengan contour geologis di Indonesia yang bergunung dan bukit &#13;
ini akan banyak menimbulkan angin. Dengan Vertical Axis Wind Turbine, yaitu type &#13;
Savonius, angin dikonversi menjadi energi listrik. Cara kerja dari Vertical Axis Wind &#13;
Turbine mengkonversi energi angin menjadi energi listrik adalah ketika angin &#13;
berhembus turbin angin dipasang pada arah aliran angin sehingga angin menabrak &#13;
sudu - sudu turbin tersebut sehingga turbin angin berputar, kemudian putaran dari &#13;
turbin angin diteruskan ke generator untuk diubah menjadi energi listrik. Pada penelitian &#13;
ini difokuskan angin yang berhembus di lantai 7 Gedung Unisma, dengan harapan &#13;
penambah wawasan ke mahasiswa bagaimana turbin angin merupakan suatu alat yang &#13;
mampu mengubah energi angin menjadi energi mekanik dan selanjutnya diubah menjadi &#13;
energi listrik melalui generator. Hasi penelitian ini, sebuah turbin angin sebagai media &#13;
pembelajaran dan data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan kecepatan angin 3 m/s, 4,2 &#13;
m/s dan 5,1 m/s yang menghasilkan daya angin 5,103 Watt, 14,003 Watt, 25,07 Watt. &#13;
Daya turbin yang dihasilkan 1,79 Watt, 4,901 Watt, 8,775 Watt, sedangkan daya listrik &#13;
yang diperoleh 1,2888 Watt, 3,5288 Watt dan 6,3184 Watt.
