dc.description.abstractNowadays, teaching pronunciation is one of the important things to improve students’ speaking skill. Many students pronounce incorrect pronunciation in speaking. The problem happened to Junior High School students at MTs Mambaus Sholihin Suci Manyar Gresik in academic year 2022/2023. The students were good in fluency, but they were not good in accuracy. There problems in teaching were teacher did not use native speakers and the teacher did not use innovative media. This research aims to improve the students’ pronunciation through animation videos of junior high school students in MTs Mambaus Sholihin Suci Manyar Gresik. This research used a classroom action research. The researcher conducted on the female students in informal class. The research held in 9i class. This research focused on words pronunciation. The researcher used observation, interviewed, and documentation in collecting the data. There were three cycles in this research. The procedures were planning, implementing/acting, observing, and reflecting. At first meeting, the teacher gave new words, discussing the meaning and read aloud the words. Then the researcher played the movie without any interruption. After that, the students asked to tell the story about. At the second meeting, the researcher concentrated on the word accuracy. The researcher showed the same video that was shown at the previous meeting. She paused the video at various points. The students imitated the sound and read the video subtitles. The researcher then chose the students to pronounce the words. When the students' spelling was incorrect, the researcher replayed the video at the point where the mistakes were made. When the students correct in pronouncing the words, the researcher gave appreciations. The result in this research was by imitating the native speakers from the videos increase the students’ interest in learning language. The students showed the animation videos and imitated the sounds at the video with reading the subtitle. After the students paid attention to the video, they imitated the speaking of the native speaker. Thus, the students’ score improved through that strategy.en_US
