dc.description.abstract The objective of the study was describing the implementation of Pinterest as a source of teaching media in English subjects at the elementary school, describe the use of Pinterest to help the teacher to find the teaching media for teaching English to elementary students, describe the advantage and disadvantages of the use of Pinterest as a source of teaching media. Because from the review of some articles, none addresses the implementation of Pinterest as a source of teaching media in English subjects at the elementary school level. This research used qualitative research. The place of this study was SDN 3 Wringin Anom Situbondo. The research was conducted in the school for two months, from March until May 2023. SDN 3 Wringin Anom is an elementary school in a rural area, Situbondo. The subject of the study is the elementary teacher who teach English at SDN 3 Wringin Anom Situbondo. In this study, the researcher chose a teacher who teach at fith grade. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The first research objective of this research is to describe the implementation of Pinterest as a source of teaching media for elementary students. Based on the research procedure, some steps exist before selecting the appropriate media to teach English. Curriculum, material and media must be suitable to reach the teaching and learning activity goal. Besides that, we also must observe the student's needs and abilities. By exploring Pinterest, we found a suitable media to teach English. As a result, the researcher and the teacher select and use flashcards which find on Pinterest to teach English vocabulary in the classroom. During the lesson, students were happy and enthusiastic. The second objective of this research is to determine how does Pinterest help the teacher to find the teaching media for teaching English to elementary students. It is the first experience for the teacher to explore Pinterest and integrate it into the teaching-learning process. Through this study, the researcher and the teacher got new experiences integrating Pinterest with teaching media. In addition, there were some advantages to the use of Pinterest. The first is easy to use. Pinterest can be accessed both from a personal computer and a handphone. Second, through Pinterest, the teacher can search for what they need, such as teaching media, material, worksheets, teaching idea, crafting students activities, classroom decoration, etc. Then, Pin and Board on Pinterest have a function to save what we are interested in or need on our account. So, it is such an "online" folder that the teacher can save important things by pinning it on the board. A pin may, for instance, promote ready-to-print Boardmaker images and links to the website with downloadable images for various academic and social communication images available for instant clicking, downloading, and printing. In other words, it is inexpensive because we can get the media (Flashcards) for free, as the researcher gets in this study. In this digital era, an internet connection is a crucial thing. Every day in our life, we need an internet connection. Thus internet connection is beneficial in our daily activities. So, without an internet connection, we could not access Pinterest. Another thing that can happen when exploring Pinterest is getting stuck on a different topic from what we seek. So, we have to be wise and responsible as a social media user. In conclusion, Using Pinterest helps teachers find the teaching media to teach English in elementary school. By exploring the Pinterest, the teacher found picture "flashcards" suitable for teaching vocabulary about transportation to fifth grade students. By teaching English using media, the students also get new experiences because they usually learn English using the textbook. Moreover, through this study, the teacher also got new experience using Pinterest and integrated teaching English. It also helped the teacher gains ideas, student activities, crafting, and printable picture and exercise suitable for students in elementary school. In other words, the teacher needs digital literacy to help them in teaching. en_US
