dc.description.abstract | Lokal economic development is a process in which the community, lokal government, and the private sector work together to create better economic conditions and create jobs, with the aim of building sustainable lokal economic capacity as an effort to improve people's living standards. One of the efforts to increase people's per capita income is by utilizing one of the ancestral heritages that from ancient times until now still exist, namely batik.
The method in this research is to use a qualitative approach and the type of descriptive research. The data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. As well as data analysis in this study using three components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of this study indicate that 1) make efforts to develop human resources, especially for batik craftsmen. 2) Development of a batik business organization, namely developing employee batik craftsmen through learning while working. 3) In doing work, batik craftsmen usually still find difficulties so that batik craftsmen carry out development in the workplace when craftsmen work.
