dc.description.abstract | The aims of this research was to analyse the pattern effect of providing yakult on drinking water post brooding period on broiler performance in terms of body weight gain and feed conversion. The materials used in this study were yakult, broiler 160 heads aged 15 days, water drinking and feed. The method used in this research is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Each experimental unit is containing of 10 chickens which were given yakult at a dose of 100 ml / liter of drinking water. The treatment of research was P0 = not given yakult, giving yakult concecutive 3 days then distinguished by days interval P1 = 3 days, P2 = 5 days, P3 = 7 days. The providing of yakult to broilers through drinking water. The data were analyzed for variance (Anova) then continued with the least significant difference test (LSD). The results obtained in this study are the pattern of providing yakult a hight significant effect (P <0.01) on body weight gain and feed conversion value. The average body weight gain is P0=1,51gab, P1=1,60gb, P2=1,47ga, P3=1,42ga. The average FCR value is P0= 1,70c, P1= 1,55a, P2=1,62b, P3= 1,64b. The conclusion of this study is the pattern of providing yakult in drinking water to broilers post brooding period can affect body
weight gain and FCR value, and the pattern of providing yakult in drinking water post brooding period periodically for 3 days interval 3 days given the best response to broiler performance.
