dc.description.abstract | This study aims of determine the percentage of subclinic mastitis cases in dairy farms
with good milking management in dairy farms in Pandesari Village, Pujon District, Malang
Regency. Cow research material around the age of up to 6 years as many as 50 animals in
the Village Pandesari. the research method is Survey method. Primary data is tabulated in
percentage form. Sampling by purposive sampling with the criteria of cattle being lactated 4-
5. The observed variable was Subclinical Mastitis Case in Dairy Farm with Good Milking
Management in Pandesari Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency. The results of the study
stated that the breeders in Pandesari Village, Pujon Subdistrict, Malang Regency were
mostly Old Breeders> 5 years (90%), High School Graduation Level (60%), Cattle owned> 6
cows (52%), Number of Lactation Cows> 4 cows (4 54%), Mastitis Counseling is
implemented (82%), Lactation Month> 10 months (58%), Milk Production / day> 16 liters
(84%), Teat Dipping with Antiseptic (54%), Never subject to mastitis ( 56%), CMT Test once
a month (58%), Provision of drinking given Ad libitum (94%), Amount of Green Feed10 12%
of body weight (72%), Amount of Concentrated Feed 2% of body weight (68%), Cage
cleaning before milking (98%), Bathing livestock (74%), Provision of concentrate (88%),
Tail binding (96%), Preparing milking equipment (100%), Giving pelican (100%) Milking
(100%), Giving teat dipping (98%), Giving forage (100%), CMT Test No (negative) 56%.
Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the farm with good milking
management is still t there were 44% subclinical mastitis cases because 42% of the CMT had
never been tested. The results of this study Farmers with good milking management should
continue to raise awareness of subclinical mastitis cases by routinely conducting CMT Test
once a week especially when milk production is high (˃ 16 l / day) and in the 1-4 lactation
months after giving birth do not feed too much.
