Pengaruh Pengetahuan Pajak, Pelatihan Profesional, Lingkungan Kerja, dan Gender Terhadap Minat Mahasiswa Berkarir di Bidang Konsultan Pajak
Abstract
The growing demand for tax consultants in Indonesia, driven by economic and regulatory complexities, presents significant career opportunities for accounting graduates. However, student interest in this field remains limited. This quantitative study analyzes the influence of tax understanding, professional training, work environment, and gender on the career interest of accounting students from Islamic University of Malang and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (class of 2021-2023) in becoming tax consultants. The study employs a quantitative method with purposive sampling, utilizing questionnaires administered to active accounting students from the 2021-2024 cohorts who have taken or are currently taking taxation courses. The sample size was determined using Slovin's formula. The results indicate that all four variables (tax understanding, professional training, work environment, and gender) simultaneously influence students' career interest in tax consultancy. Specifically, tax understanding positively influences interest. professional training positively influences interest. work environment positively influences interest, and gender negatively influences interest. These findings are expected to provide valuable insights for educational institutions, professional organizations, and students themselves in preparing for and capitalizing on career opportunities within Indonesia's taxation sector.
